1. New York: Houdini Museum of New York

Houdini, the world’s most famous magician, amazed countless audiences with his magic tricks. Located right to the hustle and bustle of Midtown in NYC, the Houdini museum contains an extensive collection of props, including large escape restraints, antique handcuffs, and other rare items used to perform magic tricks. Many of the items in the museum has never previously been on public displays, making it a must-see!

2. London: The Viktor Wynd Museum of Curiosities

Open since 1901, The Viktor Wynd Museum of Curiosities is a popular choice amongst tourists and locals. The museum specializes in fine art and natural history, and has an impressive collection on display of all sorts of weird and wonderful curiosities. Some of the more popular exhibitions include exhibitions about magic and the occult, taxidermy, and even a really cool cocktail bar!

3. Los Angeles: The Museum of Jurassic Technology

More of an art statement than a museum, the Museum of Jurassic Technology is often classified as a museum about museums. With a mix of real artefacts and fake ones, it’s hard to tell which ones are made up because each thing you see is just as ridiculous as the thing next to it. The trick is to figure out what’s real and what isn’t! You’ll enjoy a range of exhibits, from science and art to the completely unclassifiable.

4. Sydney: The Museum of Human Disease

The Museum of Human Disease in Sydney contains an impressive array of over 2,000 specimens of diseased human tissue. If you are after a strange and entertaining experience, this is definitely the museum to visit. You’ll learn more about infections, genetics, and lifestyle related diseases than you ever thought possible. And you’ll even be able to impress you friends with your new medical terminology in English!

5. Boston: Museum of Bad Art

If you’re an art lover and know your Picassos from your van Goghs, a visit to the Museum of Bad Art is the perfect opportunity to look at some of the worst art ever made. Interested in seeing a badly painted poodle, or a deformed Elvis Priestley? Then this is the place for you – come laugh at the collection of bad art!
