Preparing for a career with an English course: Isabel's story

Isabel, a 20 year old student from Venezuela, has been studying Intensive English in England for  5 months. She has loved her experience at her English school in Liverpool. Read on to find out what she said about why she's studying English and what she thinks of her course.

How did you find out about Kaplan?
Kaplan Venezuela is in my neighborhood and I went to this office to get information about their English courses.

What were you doing before studying at Kaplan?
I was studying 3rd year of Law in the Central University of Venezuela.

How has your English improved since studying at Kaplan?
I've improved my English a lot here. I started in Intermediate and now I'm in Upper Intermediate and I hope to keep improving my English.

What do you love the most about the city you're studying in?
Local people in Liverpool are very friendly, I really enjoy parties here and If I have to choose my favorite part of the city, it definitely would be The Albert Dock.

What do you like about the school?
The staff are excellent.

What do you like the most about your teachers?
Most teachers are really well prepared and they know how to teach this language in an easy way.

What has been your best experience at Kaplan so far?
I can't choose just one, I have had many incredible moments here. I have met a lot of people from many different countries and cultures, for me, it's the best experience.

Why would you recommend Kaplan to your friends back home?
Because studying abroad is an amazing experience and this school is really professional, responsible and will help them to improve their English.

How do you think studying English with Kaplan will help your future?
For my career goals it is really important to speak other languages so, include this experience in my CV could help me to find better opportunities.

What do you plan to do after you finish studying?
I am going to finish my degree and keep improving my English.

Do you think this course has helped you with your future goals?
I'm pretty sure of that. Nowadays, to be able to speak English is definitely one of the most important requirements to get a good job.
