Meet Lara, a 20 year old Swiss student who has taken a General English course in Torquay, England for three months tells us about what she likes about Torquay, a beautiful seaside town in the south of England and what she thinks of the Kaplan teaching method.

What were you doing before choosing to study at Kaplan?
I was finishing my apprenticeship in a nursery at home in Switzerland.

How has your English improved since studying at Kaplan?
I think my English is so much better now, than when I started 3 months ago.

What do you love the most about our English school in Torquay?
I love most the sea- it's so amazing. The town is good, it has everything you need. Everything is close.

What do you like about the school and your teachers?
I like the friendly atmosphere of the school. What I like most about my teacher is that she explains everything very well and she says all the people have to speak in English, so we have to practice.

Why would you recommend Kaplan to your friends back home?
I would say come to Kaplan in Torquay because I feel very good here and I learn a lot and have a nice time. I met a lot of people from different countries.

How do you think studying English with Kaplan will help your future?
It helps me to work in another country and for travel. For now, I will work as a nanny when I go back to Switzerland.

Do you think this course has helped you with your future goals?
Yes very much because I want to work in foreign countries and I'd like to travel more. It is easier when you can speak English.
