Time Prepositions: In, On, and At

Prepositions are very commonly used in English. We use them to link nouns, pronouns, or noun phrases to other parts of a sentence. They can show direction, location, or time. These can be tricky for English learners because there isn’t a definite rule for picking a preposition.

With the clocks going back in North America because of Day Light Savings, we though it was the perfect opportunity to examine some of the more common prepositions used when discussing time. You’ve probably seen inon, and at used before in every day English conversation, but did you know that they are some of the most common prepositions you’ll encounter in English?
